This Barbera d’Alba DOC Superiore is produced in the municipality of Diano d’Alba, in a locality named Bric. These vineyards grow in excellent locations on rich and compact soils of clay, mixed with limestone marc. Grapes intended for the production of this wine are selected with special care.
Maximum production: 70 hl per hectare.
Vinification and ageing
The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 7-8 days at a temperature of 28-30 degrees centigrade. Frequent refinements of this stage allow to optimize tannins and color extraction. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is transferred for about one year in barriques for ripening and aging. It follows bottling in Albeisa bottle where it reaches flavors and perfumes of excellence.
Storage and evolution
This wine, thanks to its character and its strength, can face a good aging for 7-8 years.
